It seems that some people out there have found reason to sympathize with Mass Effect's Cerberus and The Illusive Man (TIM). We find it absolutely genius on part of the game's writers that players can be seduced by TIM given the compelling (if subtle) evidence that he's an attractive, smooth-talking, 'I'm your good friend really' manipulative bastard who is a rampaging douche whenever you're not looking (and sometimes when you are).
And yet, some players still wonder what everyone has against Cerberus. Genius. For those of you who are curious about TIM's mastermind machinations (and don't mind spoilers), make sure to read the Mass Effect novels and comics for the full story.
Kartikeya has decided to replay ME2 to catalog some of TIM's best nuggets, and shall post her findings here whenever she gets around to it.
